Thanks for the check in. Rama sorry to hear you aren't sleeping well. I am 29, 4 So much sciatic pain. Feeling heavy. Braxton hicks have started. But for the most part this has seemed like a very easy pregnancy. Next appointment is Thursday. Growth scan. I hope everyone had a really wonderful holiday. This time of year can be really tough. Last year at this time I was going through some depression and MH and I had to make some really tough decisions to move forward to have a family. It is crazy how much can change in one short year. I just want everyone to know my heart is with all of you on your journey.

Rama sorry you’re so u comfortable. Have you tried a maternity pillow? Dogpaddle29 I’m sorry you’re still dealing with sciatic pain. I’ve been reflecting a lot on this time last Christmas, and it is remarkable how much difference one year can make. 1. How far are you now? 13+2 2. Symptom check: Diclegis is helping. My OB said I could add a second dose as needed in the AM, and it saved me the other day. I’m still having nausea, but it’s so much more manageable this last week. 3. What and when is your next appointment? We had our NT scan last week which was our second to last loss milestone to pass. Baby Girl looked great and was even measuring half a week ahead. Next appointment is 1/17. 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? My OB called the day after my NT scan. My placenta is “low lying”. It isn’t covering my cervix, but just next to it. The will recheck at my 1/17 appointment and hopefully it moves up as my uterus grows. Until then, I’m on pelvic rest. I also found out I have an anterior placenta. I’m bummed about how it could impact feeling movement, but just trying to focus on how great baby girl is.

Rama, Seconding birch, I'd look into a maternity or even body pillow if you haven't already. Once I hit a certain point, I can't sleep without my Snoogle. Dogpaddle29, I hope the sciatic pain lets up. It is amazing the difference a year can make. I can't count the number of times I've told myself that in the past year. birch113, Yay for baby girl looking good! I hope your placenta moves up soon. How far are you now? 11w5d Symptom check: Tired, some food aversions, and still so bloated. Nausea and headaches seem to be lightening up. What and when is your next appointment? Jan 5th for a cervical check Anything you’d like to share with the group? Anyone had any experiences with subchorionic hematomas? I had one with my loss and I was hoping to avoid it this time but I had a pretty substantial bleed on Christmas Eve that terrified me. I had an ultrasound this morning and baby looks perfect but I have a fairly small sch. I'm hoping it resolves on its own but until then it's wait and see and hopefully it doesn't grow larger.

bananas22 I had a small SCH with my rainbow that caused a pretty significant bleed at 7ish weeks. I actually continued to bleed / appt through 12-13 weeks even though the SCH was barely visible on u/s. My OB at the time let me come in for a scan every other week for peace of mind. LMK if you have any specific questions.

1. How far are you now? 18 weeks, 2 days2. Symptom check: Heartburn has arrived. No pain from it or discomfort but every night I lay down now I get that burning/bile feeling at the back of my throat. Haven't really figured out how to tame it yet. Anybody got a suggestion? Tums didn't do much...3. What and when is your next appointment? January 9th, our gender/anomaly ultrasound4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? I hope everyone had a nice holiday. I know it can be a rough time of year. I can't believe all the gifts we got for Jackson (He has a name! Of course, Mama wanted to name him after the other man in her life, Jackson Browne). My only other thought right now is I want to feel him move or kick or flutter or whatever SO BADLY. It seems like a cruel joke to give me an anterior placenta on top of my already existent anxiety. I have a doppler so I can hear him whenever I start to panic but I just want to feel him already. I don't know if anything will be 100% real for me until I do. Rama, I hope you can sleep better soon. I second the suggestion of a maternity pillow. My Snoogle has become a member of the family, I love it so much. Dogpaddle29, I'm sorry you're having so much pain. I love the holiday sentiment though birch113, I feel you on the AP. I hate it. bananas22, I'm glad the nausea is letting up a little bit. Every bit helps!

birch113 , bananas22 , mela99 : H got me a pregnancy wedge for Christmas, but I think I'm going to have to sell him on something more substantial. I already use a body pillow and between the two, I can stay propped, but our mattress is old and saggy and I'm 10000000% sure that's my biggest antagonist. We're not looking to get a new mattress right now (I've heard it's better to do after birth anyway, 'cause blood and sweat), but I think it'll definitely be one of our big purchases next year. This mattress is about 8 years old (9 in October 2018), so it's time. I might find myself cuddling into the air mattress or couch more later this pg. EDIT: I am open and eager for any and all pregnancy pillow recs y'all might have. I need halp.

Oh, and did you have brown spotting after your bigger bleed? I didn't last time (just had multiple big bleeds) but I am this time so I'm hoping it's a sign it's resolving.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I also had a suspected SCH this pregnancy, around 12ish weeks. It resolved on its own (in a gush of blood, but yanno) and baby is doing perfectly fine. SCH are so, so, so common. Take solace in the knowledge that most people that have them don't have complications and if you ever, EVER need reassurance, please make your care providers give it to you. There is absolutely no reason to panic for weeks just to wait until your next appointment. Peace of mind is paramount.

After the first big bleed, my OB wasn’t concerned because it was so small. I was freaking out because I kept bleeding, but she assured me it was “normal”. TMI Alert: I remember reading a blog about “the rainbow of SCH bleeding” or something to that effect. I definitely had reds, pinks, oranges, Browns, almost black, and purple shades. It’s truly lovely. 😉 I most remember how stringy some of the bleeding / spotting was, and the clots, because it always made me panic. I finally passed one final large clot around 12 weeks and and had a couple days more of super light spotting and that was finally the end of it. I hope it all resolved for you ASAP!

I have no pregnancy pillow recommendations. I just use a body pillow. Dogpaddle29 sorry for the sciatic pain. I am glad overall that your pregnancy has been easy. birch113 I am glad the Diclegis is helping I have taken it most of this pregnancy. bananas22 I had a SCH this pregnancy and bled early on. It resolved itself sometime between my 12 and 20 week scans. I had the most bleeding from it in my 4th week. mela99 I hope you start feeling kicks soon.

mela99 I've noticed eating dinner early and then a glass of milk around 8pm helps keep the indigestion/heart burn at bay.

Rama, birch113, and woodenshoes, thanks for sharing your stories. I'm hoping this one resolves soon and has a better outcome than last time. I'm lucky that my doctor has been very responsive and has gotten me in and has texted me every few days to see how I'm doing.

mela99, I've also heard that vanilla ice cream can be helpful as well. I hope something works for you soon.
