X-rays were quick this morning, though he was squirming. I went right when they opened, and got a call from his ped just after saying not to get the X-rays, but instead a CAT scan for more information. Since we had gone in already, he is going to look at them first before deciding whether to still order the scan. This, of course, worries me. I hope everything is ok with my baby boy. I hope you get answers quickly. My now 7 year old had a perfect head at birth and by a month one side kinda looked caved in. We did physical therapy to strengthen her neck and the head issue resolved on its own.

Was the caved in side in the back or on top? How often was PT? Sorry for a bunch of questions; please feel free to pm me if you don’t want to answer on this thread.

I caught it quick because my sister had been through the same thing with my nephew just a year before. My nephew needed a helmet because they didn't start treatment until about 6 months. My DD had torticollis, basically her neck muscles were too loose on one side and too tight on the other from positioning in the womb. She looked up and over her right shoulder all the time. Her flat spot developed on the lower right side of her head, behind the right ear. PT was once a week, then every other week. They taught me how to stretch her neck muscles. I had to do it at every diaper change. Because we started early, the flatness resolved without a helmet. Therapy was until 4 months, then she was good.

My dr called and said no early fusion so he wants me to try to get ds to lay on the other side and we will see if it improves by 2 mo. I might try doing some of the stretches to see if that helps too. Thank you so much. I hope they is all it is and hearing about your daughter really is encouraging.

Waffle I am so sorry about your mother. My MIL was very sick when my DD1 was born. She was in a vegetative state by the time DD was born and died about three weeks later. It was fucking terrible and MH had a really difficult time with everything. This is supposed to be an incredibly joyful time, but instead you have to go through such an awful thing. While your MIL might be overly cheery, she probably would understand if you are aloof and choose to wallow in your sadness instead of celebrating her birthday. Could YH explain to her that you really just need to be alone right now? Thank you. She is well aware of the situation but she is one of the most insensitive people I have ever met. Today's latest was raving about what a great sleep she had to the mother of a 6 week old baby... She is very quick to be offended and seems to think the world revolves around her. This is the woman who says she will help out and does the dishes 'properly' then puts them away 'where they should be'.

Today’s brain dump:
I’m so glad that we got the house cleaned pre baby because dh does not ever vacuum and it’s drivung me nuts since I shouldn’t yet. I tore down decorations yesterday so dh took out the tree and was in a sour mood. I asked him to vacuum since it had been 3 weeks (🤢) and he only did the half of the living room with the tree. Picking my battles I’ll wait to request tomorrow.
I feel like laundry with 2 kids = 3x easily. I’m always doing laundry!!
Every time I think I’m done bleeding and don’t wear a liner, of course I need one. Ha

It’s dishes that are never ending in this house. I swear I’m always washing dishes or putting away dishes. I lost a few undies to the dreaded sneak bleeding as well.

ldubhawksfan I'm so happy your doctor had good news. I took DD to the movies this morning for a girl's day (many were promised since she has been such a good sport about having 3 brothers. Came home to my 4 year old throwing up. I'm getting the cold the rest of my family has had all month. Winter sucks.

We just got home from urgent care since DD1 was on day 5 of high fever and V had a terrible night last night...coughing and so congested that she wouldn’t sleep unless she was on me but no fever. Dr says DD1 has a virus and just keep up with the Motrin. V has what looks like the start of an ear infection so the doctor wanted to be cautious since she’s so little and put her on antibiotics with a follow up tomorrow morning. What a day! 🙁

Sorry for all the sick babies and toddlers.
My sister is in town and she, BIL, and nephew all have a cough. Of course she wants to keep holding B and I keep freaking out that he is going to get sick. My mom tried to hog him today to keep him away from her.

Ds just projectile spitup after his first motn feeding. He never spits up so now I’m just sitting awake listening to him wondering if it was really throwing up and he’s sick with a stomach bug. Worry never stops for a mom

We had been under the illusion we'd be able to make it without one then had two days of multiple outfit changes and gave up. We're down to every other day laundry now.
