We have an almost 2 year old dog. She was the worst dog I've tried to housebreak EVER, but she's been fully trained for over a year. Yesterday I found her in the hallway squatting where she used to go all the time when we were trying to housebreak her. The back door she uses was wide open, so it's not like we just didn't hear her when she wanted to go out. She went out for the last time of the night at 11:30 when I went to bed. Then at 2:30 I woke up to her peeing all over my bedroom floor. 1. There is no reason she should have had to pee AGAIN 3 hours after going out and 2. If she does ever have to go out a night she wakes us up. The peeing on my bedroom floor is unusual. So I would normally call the vet because it seems odd, but then I remembered I had just cleaned spots on the carpet with my scrubber the day before in both of the places she peed. Could she just be marking a scent or something? She seems perfectly fine other than randomly peeing all over my house for no obvious reason.

I would call the vet for a sanity check. She could have a UTI.
It's possible she's marking if you just cleaned the exact spots, but I'd rule out medical concerns first

I'd call too, since it's unusual. Dogs be crazy. And she's super cute!

She's so darn cute!! My first thought would be UTI, but you could also be right about the scent marking. The scent of the carpet cleaner may remind her of peeing on the carpet since you had to use it so much while she was training.

I'd wait and see if she does it again in the next day or two. If it's an isolated incident, could be marking. If not, I'd suspect something is off with her and see a vet just in case. Jackson started peeing in the house all the time and I took him to the vet and they did two urine tests and bloodwork and it turns out after all that, he's not sick, he's just an a-hole who apparently got too lazy to ask to go outside.
Also, I just want to smush her doggy face.

I also would have her checked for a UTI. You can usually get a sample at home (wash and dry a small container, clean with alcohol) and take it in for testing without a visit.
