So, if you haven't heard the show "underground" on WGN America has been cancelled. It's not a poor ratings situation, the parent company is going more conservative and doesn't feel the show fits its brand.
There are efforts to get another network to pick it up, but so fast nada.
Do y'all think this will be a trend? Will progressive programming be scaled back to appeal to conservative audiences?

I think it's a trend that will continue. We will have to rely on paid services like Netflix or OWN to see progressive entertainment. This also presents opportunities for people to create content on YouTube.
ETA, I heard Netflix might pick it up but I can't find where I saw that.

Sorry to raise this from thread from the dead, but I just did a legit "OH LAWD" reading this. I had no idea the show was cancelled, and now I'm pretty upset about it.
